The awards will be announced at the CIBSE Young Engineers Awards, together with the Graduate of the Year award, which are sponsored by Andrews Water Heaters, Kingspan Industrial Insulation, Swegon Air Management and Tamlite, and are supported by the CIBSE Patrons.
Kevin Mitchell, chair of the CIBSE Employer of the Year judging panel and the first ever winner of the Graduate Award, said: ‘As an industry, we need both to celebrate the value of what we do and to invest in our new talent. Recruiting, developing and supporting the rising stars is essential for our future.’
He continued: ‘This year’s employer entries showed enlightened organisations providing varied career development routes for their graduates and apprentices. We also see more companies focusing on work-life balance for their trainees, more building-services-specific STEM activities, and new cross-discipline, cross-company exchange
programmes.’
The winning companies will be announced at the Awards event being held on 10 October at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, where the Graduate of the Year finalists will also give their presentations.
The Awards event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. Visit www.cibse.org/yea for further details.
