CIBSE Knowledge had released a new publication: Embodied carbon in building services: a calculation methodology (TM65). It presents why the assessment for embodied carbon of products linked to mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems is needed to facilitate research in whole-life carbon in MEP systems.
It also offers guidance on using environmental product declarations (EPDs) for MEP systems and how to estimate the embodied carbon of MEP products when EPDs are not available.
